12-40 & Beyond Tour

An adventure in Rural Life. This exciting self-guided tour is held annually in July. Large red grain elevator shaped markers will guide visitors to different venues of featuring local artisans. Tour sites include poetry readings, wool spinning, antiques, calligraphy, artists, blacksmithing and crafts. Maps are available at local businesses or Blaine Lake Town Office.

Bird- watching

The Blaine Lake area is a Birdwatchers Paradise. The lake, hills, river, meadows, valleys and forests of the Blaine Lake area provide habitat to hundreds of different bird species. Birdwatchers may expect to encounter woodpeckers, wrens, bluebirds, humming birds, swallows, owls, blue herons, loons, migratory birds such as ducks, geese, as-well as turkey vultures and eagles including the beautiful Bald Eagle.

Blaine Lake Campground & Golf Course 

A well maintained park with electrical sites and sewage drop available. A small Par 3 sand green course attached to the campground. A perfect spot to break up a trip! The children's play structure has been updated.

Blaine Lake Museum & Regional Library

Located in the historic CN Station on the corner of Main Street & Railway Avenue. Picnic by the Dutchak Gazebo, view the Memorial Gardens, the old stone mill from the Petrofka Village and the original town jail.

Doukhober Dugout House National Historic Site

Guides in Traditional Doukhobor dress conduct guided tours. Only open Saturdays in July. Located 8km South of Blaine Lake and 10km East.

General Store Memories, Museum and Antiques

When its time for a break from the ordinary, take a walk down memory lane. This two story building has thousands of antiques, collectables and treasures awaiting your discovery. Riverlands Heritage Region Tour

A self guided tour featuring historic and cultural sites along the West side of the North Saskatchewan River. Direction signs as well as information signs guide the traveler along the country roads with stops at a number of interesting sites. 

Saskatchewan's Largest Tree

Estimated at over 160 years old. It has a girth of about 5 meters (over 16 feet) & a span of 32 meters (over 104 feet). Located 17.5km South of Blaine Lake off highway 12 before the Petrofka Bridge.

Crooked Trees

Located west Blaine Lake is a grove of incredible Poplar trees. These trees resemble trees from sci-fi movie. They are certainly worth the drive to see them.
